Most people know me for my raunchy (well, to some folks at least) dating advice and recommendations of which sites you can use to really cut corners and game the system in trying to find someone to hook up with. Let’s face it, thats what dating has become – hooking up – for most people. Rarely does dating lead to marriage, a white picket fence and four lovely kids. It’s just the sad fact with society right now. Over 50% of marriages fail, so please don’t shoot the messenger, I am just relaying the facts as I read them.
So, as I go into a place where I haven’t dared before – Senior Dating – I think to myself what will my dating life be like when I’m a Senior Citizen? Will I still be living beach side and looking for younger women online? Nobody knows, but I’m starting to get strangely curious, which led me to react to a great heart warming article I read online at the Kansas City Star.
They called it “Coming of Age,” and if you were 55 and older, you’d be eligible.
Every six minutes, a man rotates to talk to another woman. I’m not sure if there was assistance for those who may need assistance walking, but I’m sure at an event like this, there were all sorts of measures in place to make sure everyone left with their health intact and smiles on their faces.
This event was sponsored by Shepherd’s Center Central.
I think it’s a great thing that people are getting behind these events and making it happen. It goes to show that genuine people are out there trying to find soul mates and that everyone isn’t just an old sugar daddy looking for new prey.
Just a few days after America’s birthday, it’s good to see good things happening in my beautiful country. #merica.
